We want your students to participate in the
1st annual Fairhope Student Art Festival!!!!
All Fairhope students from public, private, or home school options are encouraged to help us celebrate Fairhope, and the Fairhope art colony by entering this show and festival.

All entries should reflect the theme "This is my Fairhope". If Fairhope means playing with your dog in your backyard, Great! If Fairhope means fishing at the pier, Great! If Fairhope means feeding the ducks at the duck pond, wonderful! If Fairhope means going to church with your family, fabulous! Whatever Fairhope means to each child, that is what we are seeking.

BUSINESSES:
The Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education invites you to take part in a new and very exciting project to celebrate the Fairhope Art colony and to encourage "art for the future".
The First Annual Fairhope Student Art Show and Festival.
Organic is one of Fairhope's oldest institutions and we cherish Fairhope and our ties to businesses that keep our beloved community vital. Fairhope thrives on business, art and tourism. By sponsoring this Festival we hope to encourage a healthy future for all of us.
During the month of January, all Fairhope students in public, private, and home school will be invited to work on their submissions. There is an entry fee, with scholarships available to those students unable to afford this fee. All entries will be judged according to age groups.
During the month of February, all qualified entries will be displayed in businesses all over Fairhope, much like the Arts and Crafts Fair's early years. We hope parents, students, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as friends, will come to see the students works of art on display in your business. The weekends of February 18th and February 25th, members of the Festival Committee will be downtown selling the tickets used to vote for The "Peoples’ Choice" award. The public will purchase these tickets and the artwork with the most votes will be the winner. All other winners will be determined by local Fairhope artists who have volunteered to judge the artwork.
It is your choice how to display the art in your business. All we ask is that you make sure that these entries are not damaged. Each will be matted and shrink wrapped to help prevent damage. So in your windows, around your store, in a grouping in one spot, whatever works best for you is wonderful.
We are asking you for a $30.00 sponsorship fee. This money will be used to provide the scholarships for those deserving students, the cost of the materials for displaying the art, advertising, and of course, the prizes to our winners. Winners will be announced February 29th. All the winning artworks will be displayed at the Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education booth at the Arts and Crafts Festival.
